Our U11’s faced their toughest challenge of the season against a formidable Blaydon side. Despite a few missing players, the team displayed incredible heart and determination.
A Physical Test
Blaydon's physicality tested our defence, but our players responded with committed tackling and strong defensive lines. While there were a few missed tackles, the team's resilience was evident in their ability to regroup and prevent further damage.
Attacking Brilliance
Our attack was a highlight, with some fantastic individual and team tries. The team's quick hands and incisive running lines caused Blaydon problems. However, we need to be more mindful of running into touch to retain possession.
Areas for Improvement
While the ruck performance improved significantly, there's still room for further development in this area.
A Valuable Learning Experience
This match provided valuable experience and will undoubtedly benefit our players as we progress through the season. The challenge of facing a strong opponent like Blaydon pushed our players to elevate their game.
Players of the Week
Lucas Stevens: Strong running, excellent work in the ruck, and solid tackling.
Owen Smith: Fearless tackling against much larger opponents and impressive running ability.
Looking Ahead
We'll continue to work hard in training to address areas for improvement and prepare for the upcoming away fixture vs Seaham.
