No more than for the ladies, who at the start of the season, were seen to be the underdogs of the Championship North 2 league and predicted to go straight back down!

However, Bishop ladies had other ideas and when the dream became the reality, there was no stopping them!

They only lost one game and ended the season seven points ahead of second place which secured their promotion into Championship North 1!

After a brilliant season, it was difficult to choose award winners as each and every player put their hearts and souls on the line every game!

However, the winners were:-
Charlotte Cross - most improved
Becca Willet - coaches forward
Erin Kelly - coaches back (collected by Jenny Thompson)
Rachelle Cooley - players player

Medals were then awarded to all of the team for winning the Championship North 2 league.

Congratulations to all and also many thanks to Dan and Donna for all their work throughout the season!

The ladies danced the night away and will be back at West Mills soon ready for preseason training ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Next season will see the ladies well and truly tested in Championship North 1 as they rub shoulders with the likes of Leicester Tigers Ladies at Welford Road!

The fixtures for 2022-23 season have just been released and the ladies open their season at home against Leicester Tigers on 18 September so save the date!
