As always Consett were fantastic hosts, and in the classic spirit of the game, four of their young players joined the Blues to ensure we could get three games running, and were warmly welcomed by our players.

We saw an excellent display of tag rugby. It was great to see how our players, and Consett's, have developed over the extended break and any concerns that they would have forgotten how to play were soon allayed!

As always there was some fantastic forward movement and finding of space and great individual tries, but in a change from what we may have seen a season or two ago, there was loads of passing and support play creating dozens of quality team tries! It was also evident that in defence we are starting to close down space to make the attackers job more difficult.

After the match our boys and girls behaved impeccably and were a credit to their families and the club.
